A second outpost of Coffee Works opened about a week ago in the slowly-but-surely populating Voorhees Town Center. Coffee Works Roastery and Cafe is open for business.
Popped in for a quick sip (a hazelnut latte, if you must know) and nuzzled into one of the plump couches. Grabbed some reading material/the menu and found it’s much more than just caffeinated drinks (made from the Italian stallion of espresso machines, La Marzocco) and desserts – some of which are baked in house, like the dessert bars and muffins, and some of which are brought in from Classic Cake Co., like tiramisu and chocolate mousse cake. They’ve also got a full list of smoothies, salads, paninis, and sandwiches, even quesadillas.
The space is large, with high ceilings and fans reminiscent of those big leaf-shaped ones you see on island resorts. Cool, calming blue and cream shades cover the walls; even the seating – couches, tables with chairs, and a banquette section – is soothingly coated.
Quiet vibes will eventually give way to the sounds of live music. Like its Ritz Center counterpart, this Coffee Works will host performers and open mic nights, eventually.
